Volunteers

Published by

Volunteering is a great way to gain skills, experience and confidence. Without the support of our valuable volunteers we would not be able to work with the number of people we do.

We are always looking for volunteers to support our clients.  We provide an Induction programme, access to training and on-going support for all our volunteers.

These are the words of one of our Volunteer Advocates:

Working as a Volunteer Advocate with Hambleton and Richmondshire Advocacy:

  •         gives me a sense of purpose,
  •         makes me feel valued, and
  •         teaches me more about life

Advocacy feels important. It gets results – usually in difficult situations.  What could be better than knowing you’re part of a professional organisation providing a valuable service to people at a difficult point in their lives?   Conclusion? I now realise being a volunteer with HRA is about both giving and getting. What more could I ask for?

If you are interested in becoming a volunteer advocate, please call or e mail us to arrange an informal chat.
